I came out the womb in ‘93 no father was there for me
he spent most of his time in a penitentiary
so I was raised by a single mother forever strong holding on
even when there was no one to love her
as we grow we discover the principles of life
we make mistakes but learning from them is what makes it right
I’ve made some mistakes I’ll be the first to tell you that
but without making them I don’t know if I’d be where I’m at
mentally through time I have learned to evolve and adapt
the minds a tool but when misused it can become a trap
and it can hold you back from many opportunities
life isn’t easy but at times it offers gratuity
I’m not a fortunate son this life is what you make it
watch you back some people won’t be hesitant to take it
I’m not the all knowing day by day I keep growing
no matter the obstacles in life I just keep going

And As I grow old I wonder if my thoughts will change
will my views on the world still look the same
will I grow to find pleasure in this life of pain
or will I be reminded every time that it rains
the past is the past never dwell it can’t be changed
despite the darkness it’s the future that still remains
I find that people are like seasons and with time they change
they come and go their unpredictable and can be strange
learn from life take the knowledge and apply it right
your by yourself in this world your alone in the fight
I learn from my wrongs and from the mistakes of others
the more I find in life the more I find there’s to discover
the more I discover the more I learn about myself
the best help in life is learning to help yourself
and the truth is my word from beginning to end
self defeat is failure victory comes from within
